The Chairman of Christie's Europe, Francois Curiel, shows the 'Onassis Buddha' during a preview at Christie's auction house, in Geneva, Switzerland, 9 May 2008. The Faberge Buddha, which belonged to Aristoteles Onassis, is a carved figure with articulated hands, head and ruby tongue and is decorated with four rubies and five rose-cut diamonds.
